Excuses are the easy way to stop from making progress, they are also useful for covering this up.

I know what you mean about Chat gpt, it always finds the positive side in everything I do making it hard to diferentiate from what I don't do. Its a joke.

„Sport IST Mord“ is the correct saying, otherwise it would mean that anyone going for a run would have to schlepp a 600g Glock around.

LOL!!!!!! That may be true here in USA but not most places. Thank you for the correction :)

Another point on housing — housing is getting expensive in certain areas and because houses are getting bigger. The carpenter building my deck couldn’t afford an average 2400 sq ft house in Seattle…so he bought a house in Aberdeen. And now his late 20s and owns a home that’s PAID OFF.

True that’s not always an option. Worked great for him because his job requires travel anyway. Story connects to your point, though, as an example of finding solutions instead of excuses.

(PS: Years ago your blog was instrumental in helping me cut my body weight in HALF. Love what you do — you literally helped save my life)

Excellent point! If you look at the size of the average house it continues to go up and construction cost is proportional to square feet. Its not uncommon to see new homes with 3000 or 4000 square feet when the house I grew up in with a family of five in the 60s had 1200 square feet (I just checked on Zillow). Another excellent point is that these days, many people can work from home at least part of the week and this allows them to buy a home that is further from their work, and therefore cheaper. The drive is a pain but its only a few times a week instead of 5x a week.
